This intensive one day course will be a mixture of theoretical and practical sessions, focusing mainly on the latter, with opportunities to practise on fellow students and carry out a full FEA treatment. Please see entry requirements below.

We will look at all aspects of a facial treatment, including equipment used, safe practice, marketing FEA and pricing. We will also cover the acupuncture points used in a treatment, plus follow-up procedures, such as jade rollers and gua sha techniques.

By the end of the workshop you should be confident in all aspects of FEA and be able to carry out the full protocol, adding a valuable new treatments to your practice. The participants, having completed the workshop, will be accredited as a Facial Enhancement practitioner and can use the letters FEA.

Who is this course for?

The Course is open to qualified acupuncturists only. Attendees must be registered with BAcC, ATCM, AACP or BMAS (Non-UK professional Registers are also acceptable subject to appropriate evidence of membership and insurance) and it may be open to students in their final year* (see below). We will require evidence of acupuncture qualification and professional registration for this CPD. Please email it to [email protected] before making your booking.

  • The workshop is not suitable for student acupuncturists unless they are students of a recognised acupuncture course, in their final year of study, having had hours of practice in clinic and with the understanding that they will not be allowed to use this technique until registered and appropriately insured .
  • This workshop is not suitable for anyone who is or thinks they may be pregnant.

Paul Adkins  Lic.Ac., BA(Hons), 1ST DAN, FEA, MBACC, MCAUK

paul-adkinsQualified with an honours degree from the CTA Leamington College of Five-Element Acupuncture and a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, Paul is a Traditional Acupuncturist and the Founder of Facial Enhancement Cosmetic Acupuncture. He is the author of the ‘Pocket Guide to Facial Enhancement Acupuncture’ and ‘Facial Enhancement Acupuncture: Clinical Use and Application’. In 2004 Paul demonstrated his Facial Enhancement Acupuncture treatment for a beauty programme called Silicone Chicks, which aired on Sky’s Discovery Channel. Paul has trained acupuncturists in over 30 countries to perform this natural, anti-ageing treatment. As a result, there are now practitioners in the UK, Europe and as far afield as Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, US, South Africa, Israel and the Caribbean. He is also a 1st dan martial artist with a love for eastern philosophy and wisdom. Alongside his Facial work Paul has a passion for fertility acupuncture and is proud to be a Zita West affiliated practitioner, he offers help and support to his clients throughout the South West. Many of Paul’s students have remained in contact over the years and he now offers the Facialenhance affiliate programme where he works with practitioners to build and expand their own practice and business.

To ensure continued safety during the Coronavirus pandemic, extensive preventive measures have been adopted at ICOM, in line with government and Public Health England rules and guidance, and guidance from our professional bodies.
