Course Overview
This one-day Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture course will teach the participants a gentle and holistic approach to using acupuncture for facial rejuvenation. Participants will learn techniques of intuitive facial acupuncture that achieve maximum results with minimum intervention.
The workshop will focus on how to use these simple, intuitive techniques to revitalise and rebalance the whole face, relieve the appearance of puffiness, soften wrinkles and increase the natural radiance of the face with results that will be apparent even after the first treatment.
The course contains a lot of practical experience that will give the students confidence and skills to practise these techniques safely in their own clinics.
The course will cover the following areas:
- How to administer Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture safely and confidently
- Observation and Evaluation
- Facial points and when to use/not use them
- What type of needles to use, depth of insertion
- Various techniques: framing, threading, dispersing, revitalising
- Surrounding zones of concern, inflammation, scars
- Contraindications
- Assessing the number of treatments required.
Every student will give as well as receive a Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture treatment during the course of the day, this course therefore would not be suitable if attendee is unable to receive treatment (e.g pregnancy, open wounds etc. – if in doubt please enquire and we will clarify).

Eligibility
This course is open to acupuncturists who have qualified from any BAAB accredited institution. It is also open to 3rd year students attending a BAAB accredited course. Please send proof of eligibility to [email protected] prior to making your booking.

About the teachers
Kirsten Germann Lic.Ac., MBAcC
Kirsten Germann qualified as an acupuncturist in 1994 after studying at ICOM. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council. Since then, she has been a teacher and practitioner at ICOM as well as practising in Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells.
Kirsten learned this non-invasive Facial Rejuvenation technique in Hong Kong in 2006 and since then she has disseminated what she learnt in East Asia to the UK, further refining the technique at ICOM with the late teacher Rob Hughes. In recent years, Kirsten has been part of an Acupuncture Training Program in northern Myanmar (Burma), enabling local traditional doctors to use acupuncture as an effective tool to help their many patients. She also teaches and studies yoga and is currently working on several other charitable projects in South India.
Galit Hughes Lic.Ac., MBAcC
Galit Hughes qualified as an acupuncturist in 1994 after studying at ICOM. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
In addition to Chinese Medicine, Galit has trained in Massage, Hypnotherapy, Kundalini Yoga, Inner Dance and Inner Guidance Process. Most recently, Galit has completed Gabor Maté’s online professional training in Compassionate Inquiry which she is now offering in her clinic. Over the years Galit has taught and continues to teach many of these skills, both in the UK and Israel, along with belly dancing and other movement modalities. Galit practices from her home clinic in Old Heathfield, Gaia Natural Health in Forest Row and ICOM – East Grinstead; she specialises in working with women, especially around fertility, pregnancy and childbirth, as well as treating children and is offering guidance to anyone needing emotional support through difficult phases in their life.
Cancellation policy for CPD course bookings
- Refunds for cancellations two or more months before the course commencement will incur a 15% administration fee.
- Refunds for cancellations between two months and two weeks before the course commencement will incur a 25% administration fee.
- Refunds for cancellations two weeks before the course commencement will incur a 50% administration fee.
- No refund will be given for no shows or cancellations upon the course commencement.
- Any amount overpaid by the student will automatically be refunded to the student’s account.
