Magalie is a licensed acupuncturist and ‘general practitioner’ in Chinese Medicine, as well as a dedicated educator. Before training as an acupuncturist, she spent seven years teaching English, an experience that naturally shaped the way she communicates, explains complex ideas, and supports learners from different backgrounds.
She trained at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) and apprenticed under several experienced Chinese Medicine doctors from China. This combination of formal training and traditional mentorship informs both her clinical work and her teaching, with an emphasis on clarity, curiosity, and practical understanding.
Multilingual and culturally immersed, Magalie brings a thoughtful sensitivity to the classroom. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and coming from a Western background, she is able to help students engage with the language, philosophy, and clinical thinking of Chinese Medicine in a way that feels relevant and approachable.
Alongside her teaching role, Magalie is the Student Ambassador at the college, supporting students in ways that extend beyond the classroom, including peer support, guidance, and simply being a listening presence during their training.
Whether teaching, mentoring, or supporting students more informally, Magalie values presence, openness, and the belief that both learning and healing begin with listening.
